In July 2023, #EMERALD team (Prof. Elpiniki Papageorgiou, Assoc. Prof. Nikolaos Papandrianos, PhD students Anna Feleki and Agorastos-Dimitrios Samaras attended the 14th International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications (IISA 2023), 10-12 July 2023 at University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece.
The aim of IISA 2023, was to bring together researchers dealing with the theory and applications of artificial intelligence, in all areas of Information, Intelligence, Systems and Applications.
PhD student Anna Feleki from University of Thessaly presented the research paper with title ‘Deep Fuzzy Cognitive Map methodology for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer diagnosis based on Positron Emission Tomography imaging, whereas the PhD student Agorastos Samaras presented the entitled paper ‘Explainable Classification for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer based on Positron Emission Tomography features and clinical data”.
Prof. E. Papageorgiou (Principal Investigator of EMERALD) was the General Chair of the conference, Dept. of Energy Systems, University of Thessaly, Greece.
